Hi, I am researching my family history. I had a relative come over on the William Penn ship "Welcome" in 1682 landing south of what is now Philadelphia. In your research of William Penn's Fleet did you uncover any information on this ship? Would be interested in knowing. Best Regards, Jeff Kendell jkendell@fasnap.com

Not to forget another ship:
in the latter part of 1681, Ye Owners Adventure ... most if not all of these settled in the Irish tenth of the Province of West Jersey, basically right across the Delaware river from Philadelphia..
Three important Quaker surnames :
1) William Bates 1635 St Dunstan and All Saints, Middlesex, England - 8 Nov 1700
2) Marke Newby 25 Feb 1638 Earsdon, Northumberland, England - 1683
3) Thomas Thackara (and other spellings) 25 Dec 1649 Wortley, Yorkshire, England - before 5 Oct 1702
Several other Quaker surnames may have been on this vessel: see list of such at: https://www.geni.com/projects/Thomas-Sharp-1700-Map-of-Newton-and-Cooper-Creek-Landholders/55206
